Two Angels or Allah Has a Plan

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room.

Instead the angels were given a small space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it.

When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied,"Things aren't always what they seem."

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest.

When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears.

Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel how could you have let this happen?

The first man had everything, yet you helped him, he accused.

The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied.

"When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it."

"Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead.Things aren't always what they seem."

Sometimes that is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should.

If you have faith, you just need to trust that every out come is always to your advantage.

You just might not know it until some time later...

Note: This story is from a friend. It's very good to share with other.

Comment:

Month of Ramadhan 2007

Assalamualaikum,

Welcome to Muslim Home School in America. I hope it will give benefits to others in everywhere, US and other countries.
If you want to join
Homeschool Muslim CT for all homeschoolers and non homeschoolers who need the Islamic Resources for teaching our Muslim kids, please join in the group. I have other group for Muslim Kids and Education. This group is for muslim children with parents who want to learn Islam and look for penpals.
Insha Allah, It will give benefit to all of us.

Today is the first week of Ramadhan. Everyday, we went to masjid for breaking our fasting and salah in jam'ah (together). I didn't see any Indonesian Muslim in this masjid. I think they are only want to go to masjid where are all Indonesian, such as having gathering in one of Indonesian Muslim house or going to Al Hikmah Masjid in Queens, New York. Most of the time, we went to masjid West Haven which is close to our house. Sometime, we went to Masjid An- Nur in Bridgefort for salah Isha and Tarawih or Masjid Al Islam in New Haven.

Everyday we had been invited to masjid for breaking our fast. Alot of leftover foods were in masjid. This's what make me sad. I remembered that alot of the needy people were in other countries. Sometime, I saw leftover foods already in the garbage. It's better to spend the money to charity to help the needy or the orphans.

For Homeschooling, the kids were still busy on doing their homeworks at home and memorizing their surahs.

In the afternoon, the older kids, who were fasting, were complaining about hungry, boring, and tired. The youngest one was sleeping. I said to the older kids that in Ramadhan, we should think about the people who never get the foods for more than one day. They lived in very poor condition. It is so sad to see them hardly to have the foods to eat for one day. They could not even think about their own education. My kids were so quiet and listening to what I said.

The purpose of fasting is for us to obey Allah and feel close to Allah Subahana Wa Ta'ala. It is not for hunger. Allah knew that we have the capability to do the fasting. When our stomach was hungry, we should think about the poors who never have anything to eat for more one day. We had to help them anytime we could help them,

Now my kids understood what the purpose of fasting. We had to be patient to wait until the end of the day to break our fast.
So the conclusion that the purpose of fasting are:
- To clean our soul by salah, tarawih, tahajjud, Qiyamul Layl, etc.
- And to clean our body by fasting.

Ramadhan Mubarak to All of You.
May Allah give all the rewards for our ibadah in this Ramadhan. Ameen.
